NSW police stated they have discovered an global ritualistic child sex abuse material ring and charged four Australian men for their suspected participation.
Probe Particulars
Detectives from the special victims unit stated that as part of Operation Constantine, an investigation into the online distribution of child sexual abuse material involving ritualistic themes, they disrupted a Sydney-located organization.
Police alleged the group was actively engaged in holding, distributing and facilitating this material through a online platform that was "administered internationally".
Law Enforcement Actions
Officers, accompanied by the tactical unit, executed 6 property searches in Waterloo, Ultimo district and Malabar on Thursday morning the previous week.
- At the Waterloo address, police detained a 26-year-old man who they alleged played a "leading role" in the group.
- The man was charged with numerous offences including possession of child abuse material, making available child abuse material, and spreading and owning bestiality content.
- Bail was denied to appear in court last Friday.
Further Arrests
At a unit block in Malabar, detectives took into custody three men of ages forty-six, 42 and thirty-nine.
Additionally they were charged with holding child exploitation content and other charges.
The four individuals are due to return to court at a later date.
