Week six of the 2025 NFL season

Live coverage features live text of the weekend matchups via various channels, beginning with Denver Broncos v New York Jets in London (from 14:00 BST). Additionally, audio coverage is available through designated networks for another key matchup (from 21:00 BST).

We're in the sixth week in the NFL season and following last week's discussion regarding the Buffalo Bills and Philadelphia Eagles as possible championship contenders, they both surrendered their perfect starts.

Striking during those contests were the number of infractions each committed. The Eagles did so in key moments so they kind of beat themselves after leading by two touchdowns going into the final quarter versus Denver, who play overseas this weekend.

But it proved good to observe how Denver quarterback the rookie was able to have that deficit before lead three successful possessions in three attempts during the final period, securing the game 21-17.

The Broncos boast the defensive player of the year in CB their star corner. They rank first in goal-line defense, whereas Philadelphia are number one in red zone offence, and Denver won that battle.

They executed effective strategies regarding disguised blitzes. They weren't always rushing extra pass rushers instead they could position two LBs in the interior before drop them out and dispatch a nickel off the edge.

Early on in the campaign, we said on a program that Denver could be this season's dark horses. They finished last season strongly and did a good job of building upon that.

Are the Denver Broncos this season's dark horses?

Recently acquired TE their tight end has excelled big and new RB their rusher is a guy the team trusts. He's currently fifth in the NFL for rushing yards (402) and tied-fourth in rushing scores (four).

It's impressive how head coach the Broncos' leader has "RUN IT!" at the top on his call sheet.

This demonstrates how Denver represent a team aiming to run first, because you can achieve much based on that approach. It reduces down the pass rush while keeps you in favourable situations.

This has helped QB Bo Nix, who came the NFL as a first-round selection in the prior draft, throwing 29 TDs – second only to a star QB for the rookie record (31 back in 2020).

Josh Allen and Herbert have powerful arms to throw anywhere, but they lack in the same way that Nix has. He has exceptional passing ability, a unique trait, and he's highly agile.

His assets include his movement, the capacity to pass on the run, and finding varied release points to make throws when he rolls outside protection, the bootlegs. He is able to throw precision throws over the middle or over the corner.

As a rookie QB, aged 25, he displays a lot of poise in the pocket and is not bothered by the blitz. He aims to evade being tackled as much as possible and can pass under pressure. He has sharp intelligence and remains quick to decide.

If you consistently rush it eats up time and makes the opponent to stay on the field for longer, and when you have a mobile QB the defence has to defend the area vertically and horizontally. It can be draining.

The quarterback has bitten back at Payton on the sideline sometimes and I think the coach likes that attitude, that he's a fierce rival. I think it's fun for the coach to have a rookie QB that is kind of like play-dough. He can really build something up how he desires to shape him. I believe it's a unique opportunity for him.

The head coach owns a championship and has surpassed Bill Parcells for career NFL wins (173 - tied 14th overall). He has witnessed it all. In my opinion the success the Broncos are experiencing on offence is largely due to his leadership, his schemes, his situational awareness – and the combination with Nix helps shape him what he is.

There's no better a better guy guiding you, to assist you through difficult moments and build confidence.

I have faith in Denver's defence, in Bo Nix's tenacity and composure. Yet is the team strong enough to face a top squad at full strength? Because that was not a Super Bowl performance from Philadelphia last Sunday.

Currently, it's unlikely the Broncos are elite. They're performing above average, that's a solid position to hold the AFC West. The key is to continue this trajectory.

They excel at leaning into their forte, which is running the ball, and that's precisely what they should do versus the New York Jets in London. It's going to be the JK Dobbins show, essentially.

The Jets have surrendered 140 rushing yards each contest (sixth worst), five ground scores this season (in the bottom ten), and they are the only team yet to win a game.

Since the NFL started recording takeaways decades ago, this team are the inaugural squad to be without any turnovers in five outings, which is surprising when you think that their new coach Aaron Glenn a defensive coach at the Detroit Lions.

Patrick Mahomes stated Kansas City are off to a poor start following a recent loss to Jacksonville.

Following this Sunday's game, the Broncos face a manageable slate until their break (in week twelve) - the New York Giants, Dallas Cowboys, the Texans and the Raiders prior to the Kansas City Chiefs.

In the AFC West, the Chiefs hold a losing record and the Broncos are tied with the Chargers on 3-2 meaning they could challenge for the top of the division.

It depends on what version Kansas City shows up they meet since Denver {beat|def
